The preserved living quarters, photographs, and exhibits make this a meaningful and reflective visit. Later, explore Adalaj Stepwell, a beautifully designed five-story stepwell that blends Indo-Islamic architecture. Built to provide respite from the heat, its ornate carvings and symmetrical design make it one of Gujarat’s finest historical structures. The day also includes a drive past important city landmarks and time to explore local markets, where you can experience Ahmedabad’s vibrant culture, textiles, handicrafts, and local flavors. Overnight stay in Ahmedabad.

The museum houses rare artifacts, sculptures, and historical relics from the region’s princely past. The peaceful surroundings and birdlife add charm to the visit. This day is devoted to exploring the holy city of Dwarka, believed to be the ancient kingdom of Lord Krishna. Begin with Dwarkadhish Temple, one of the most revered temples in India. Dedicated to Lord Krishna, the five-story temple stands majestically with intricate carvings and a towering spire. The spiritual ambiance, rituals, and chants create a deeply devotional experience. Proceed to Gomti Ghat, where pilgrims take a holy dip in the Gomti River before entering the temple. The ghat is lined with small shrines and offers beautiful views of the temple against the river backdrop. Later, visit Nageshwar Jyotirlinga, one of the twelve sacred Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva. The massive statue of Lord Shiva and the calm surroundings make this an important spiritual stop. Continue to Rukmini Devi Temple, dedicated to Goddess Rukmini, the consort of Lord Krishna. The temple is admired for its sculptural beauty and is associated with fascinating mythological legends. The day also includes a visit to Bet Dwarka, an island believed to be the residence of Lord Krishna. Reached by a short boat ride, Bet Dwarka offers temples, coastal views, and a spiritually enriching environment. Overnight stay in Dwarka.

Day 4: Dwarka to Somnath via Porbandar

After breakfast, depart for Somnath, another sacred Jyotirlinga destination. En route, stop at Porbandar, the birthplace of Mahatma Gandhi. The modest structure reflects Gandhiji’s simple lifestyle and displays photographs and exhibits related to his life and teachings. Also explore Sudama Temple, dedicated to Sudama, Lord Krishna’s childhood friend. The temple symbolizes humility, friendship, and devotion, and holds great significance in Hindu mythology. After sightseeing in Porbandar, continue the journey to Somnath. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel and relax.
